Hello Runewild Backers,

Similar update to last time. Still waiting on art and maps. Joyce (artist) is doing all the sketches first and has done all the half and quarter pages done and is just working on some portraits now. Tom (cartographer) has about half the maps in final form. I'm not quite sure when everything will come together, obviously I wish done already, but I think the wait should be worth it.

I'll leave you with one of the latest sketches.

Just a quick update to say that we still haven't gotten all the art and maps in yet. We're continuing to make progress, albeit slower than I would like. 

Last time I left you with the regional map. This time, here's one of the encounter maps for the Runewild, the ruins of the Palace of Wind, Water, and Stone.

Hello Runewild Backers,

The status on the book remains fairly similar to what it was last update. Art and maps are still coming in, but we have more we're waiting for. Still hoping for a July release of the PDF.

For those who purchased add-ons through Backer Kit, I've charged those cards earlier today. A few had errors (most commonly this is an expired card) so keep an eye out for those emails just in case.

I also sent out PDFs to people who got the add-ons that are already completed, namely Marriage at Midsummer, Heroes of Drakonheim, and Drakonheim: City of Bones. If you ordered those, but did not get receive a copy through DriveThruRPG let me know.

What is Better than Kitties? Kitties with Magical Powers!

While I'm not running it this time, there is another Kickstarter that I'm involved with on the horizon. A few years ago I wrote a game called Magical Kitties Save the Day. As the name implies, it's about magical kitties who save the day. Now I've partnered with Atlas Games to put out a revised and expanded version. The Kickstarter is set to start July 16th, and you can find more information about it here.

Magical Kitties is designed to be easy to learn but still offer potential for depth of play. I've played it with kids as young as four and groups totally made of adults. 

Most of my work on this project was done a long time ago, and Atlas will be handling all the fiddly details, so this won't delay the Runewild in any way.

If you like kitties, gaming with young people, or just light-hearted story-focused games, check out Magical Kitties Save the Day.

Regional Map

I've previewed a lot of art that's being done. Now I'll leave you with a map. Here is the nearly finished regional map for the Runewild. The cartographer is just going to finish up adding the names of the cities and spires currently missing. Let me know what you think!

I Learned Something New About Backer Kit

It looks like a lot of you who had already completed your survey got another email about completing it. I think that's my fault. This is the first time I've used Backer Kit for fulfillment and I'm still learning some of the details. 

As I mentioned in a previous update, after I first sent out the survey, I added a question about how you want your name to appear in the backer credits. I thought Backer Kit would just ignore the people who completed the survey before I added the question, but it seems that it didn't. Instead, when I tried to lock down orders last night it emailed everybody who didn't have an answer, regardless. 

Looks like most of you have already updated your survey with answers to the credits name. I am able to manually enter a value for each backer, so in a few days, if there are people who haven't filled out that question but have otherwise completed things, I'll enter the best name I have for you, then try to lock things down again.

Backer Kit Reminder (and more)

Hello Everybody,

First a quick status report. Bill has completed all his edits to the document and we've sent it out for editing. Art and maps are both still underway. It's sounding like we'll get those late June or maybe early July.

Have You Filled Out Your Survey?

I am going to lock down reward choices on Backer Kit tomorrow evening. You will still be able to change your address if need be, but you won't be able to change your add-ons.

Also there are still 24 people who have not responded to the survey, including some with physical books and some with Denizens of the Runewild rewards. For those levels you NEED to respond to the survey in order to get your rewards.

The Winner Is...

Thanks to everybody who voted in the cover image poll. There was a clear favorite with nearly three quarters of the voters choosing the Explore the Runewild image, so I've let Joyce know and she'll develop that into a foll page cover images.
