Update on Maps
about 4 years ago – Sat, Mar 14, 2020 at 10:08:25 PM

Hi All,

I just wanted to give you a quick update. It turns out one of the cartographers I thought would be able to finish up the last few maps will not be able to. I'm scrambling to find a replacement. This might push the PDF into April a little bit. I'll keep you posted as I learn more.

March Update - Just Five More Maps
about 4 years ago – Sun, Mar 01, 2020 at 06:31:54 PM

Hello Runewild Backers,

First of all I'm excited to say that I just received the final illustrations for the Runewild!

Now we are just waiting of five more maps, split between to cartographers, so think that it is very likely that the Runewild will be out in PDF form this month.

For my part, while that's going on I'll revisit the layout, add and index, and working on the extras, like the GMs screen and making the poster maps print ready.

Hopefully I'll have more good news to share soon. I'll leave you with one of the final images I got, which is also a favorite of mine.

Springtime for PF2, Status, and and Indie RPG Kickstarter
about 4 years ago – Fri, Feb 14, 2020 at 09:38:37 PM

Hello Everybody,

You get an extra special bonus update this month, mostly to let you know about the latest Pathfinder conversion of Seasons of the Runewild, but while I'm updating I'll figured I'd let you know about the status of the Runewild and a new Kickstarter.

Springtime Comes to Pathfinder 2

It's still a bit chilly in my neck of the woods (Minneapolis, MN), but we've just released Springtime Comes to Kidwelly for Pathfinder Second Edition.

Like the other adventures in the Seasons of the Runewild series, we're offering backers a chance to get the Pathfinder version for just one dollar. Check out this link for a DriveThruRPG coupon code.

Status Update

The pace of art has picked up, so I'm feeling good about releasing the PDF at some point in March (figures crossed!) This includes both more art from Joyce and from the new artist I mentioned in the last update (Le Rastislav), the latter of who painted the portraits below.

Abstract Dungeon the Zine Kickstarter

For those of you who also like indie games, I wanted to share that I have another Kickstarter Campaign going on. A few years ago I created a game called Abstract Dungeon and now want to support it with a zine. It's already funded four issues, and we're working on stretch goals. Issue one is written and has a pirate theme. Backers will help pick the themes of the other issues.

If you like indie games but have never heard of Abstract Dungeon, there are some videos embedded on the Kickstarter page to help introduce it, plus there are reward levels that include the core book in either PDF or print.

That's all I've got for now. I'll leave touch bases the first week of March if now sooner, and I'll leave you with some of the new art.

Thanks,

Matthew

February Updage

February Update

Hello everybody. Pretty similar to the previous update. Still slowly getting art and maps in, but still not all the way there. I did find another artist who is now working on some pieces. I decided to send the new artist some new descriptions, but which could replace the current illustrations if need be. In the best-case scenario we'll end up with a few more pieces of art than originally planned. In a worst case scenario I will use some newly commissioned illustrations in place of some of the unfinished ones.

I'll continue to keep you updated on how things are going, and leave you with a new map and illustration.

Thanks,

Matthew
